Month Two!

I can’t believe it (again!).  I am on the second month here in Spain (I should have posted this a few days ago.. whoops!)

You will have to forgive my tardiness.  We just had our first quarter final exams last week (scary times!).  It is the first time I have ever had a class where the final exam was 100% of your grade. Needless to say, the past week and weekend brings no real exciting news-just a lot of studying.

Luckily for me, the public library system has a branch inside the parque del buen retiro. Here is a link to some google images of said library
I am also happy to say I have successfully applied for my NIE (foreign identity number) card in the middle of exam week which was quite the hassle! If you are, or know anyone who is, a student coming to Spain, please drop me a line so I can try to shed light on this process. There really is no reliable process from what I saw, so I may give you bad advice, but I’d be happy to give you a list of ways to try.

To make up for my horrible lack of blog posts, this week I will update about when Bess and I went to Sevilla & Valencia AND about my trip to see Iris in Heidelberg!

Of course below are some photographic smatterings of my life in Madrid!
